Because I didn't keep a constant watch,
Someone took away the pen,
And left words still unsaid.
I am choking on blindness.

the writer, a cynic
A blank page
frightens me:
so many thoughts,
so many ideas
I could put there --
Is it legal to put
such a weapon as this
in my hand?
Deep fears,
dark dreams,
confused radical thoughts
without shame:
I can write it,
there's room on this page
and my pencil, I think,
should last long enough
to offend...
