PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Linda Delayen

I kept feeling the caress,
And expecting hands to appear,
I knitted gloves
And waited.
But there weren’t hands after all;
My gloves were useless.
I slowly unravelled them
To a ball of crinkled yarn
While reminding myself
It was good for practice.
