Passage
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young, Forever Young

And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

 Forever Young

no-one can see you try
or fall
when you take your first steps again
in your mother’s head
she only remembers
how good you were at everything
you won all the beauty pageants
and you were
always a straight-A-student
she has locked up all your mistakes
the fights, the failures
the time you came home drunk
and almost pregnant
she has ripped them from her thoughts
but they are still glued to your flesh:
the flesh she remembers so well

you were so perfect
-you still are
because
you take such good care of her:
an old woman now,
you rub her hands
kiss her wrinkly peach-cheeks
and open the photo-album once again
turning the pages
you silently think
about all the times you fell
and how she picked you up,
kissed you
hid your scars
and how you still
live in her soft eyes
somewhat immortal
